Regional airline Air Costa has received the air operator’s permit from
the Director General of Civil Aviation, clearing the way for its take
off.
The airline is now set to commence its scheduled flight operations from
October. It will start its ticket sales in the next few days.
“We will start with two E-170 and two E-190 Embraer E-Jets having twin class cabin,” K.N. Babu, CEO, said.
Initially, the carrier will connect to Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Chennai,
Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Jaipur. It will later expand to cities such as
Pune, Goa, Madurai, Thiruvananthapuram and Visakhapatnam.
The airline is promoted by the LEPL group based in Vijayawada, having
interests in urban infrastructure, aviation, renewable energy,
hospitality, education and entertainment.
